About Helix
What is Helix?
Helix is the AI Listing Engineering platform from ZonGuru. It scores your Amazon listings for how ready they are for Alexa for Shopping, Amazon's AI shopping agent. It engineers new copy where the gaps are, and it keeps watching after you publish so you know when a listing needs work again.
Why keep watching after a listing is engineered?
A listing starts to decay the moment it's published. The listing stays the same, but everything around it keeps moving. A one-time rebuild fades. Engineering continuously compounds, keeping your signal strong for Amazon's AI so you stay in the conversation instead of falling out of it.
How is this different from writing a listing with an AI tool?
A general AI tool writes text from a prompt. Helix researches your brand, product, category and competitors first. It maps that knowledge to how Amazon's AI interprets listings, checks its own draft against a score, and reworks it before you ever see it. Then it keeps monitoring the listing once it's live.
Does Helix still cover keywords?
Yes. A9, Amazon's keyword engine, still decides where a listing ranks on a keyword search, and Helix engineers that half on a decade of ZonGuru keyword, ranking and niche data. Semantic coverage is what the Alexa for Shopping engine reads when it decides what to recommend. Helix engineers for both, so you don't have to choose between them.
Will Helix improve my rankings?
We don't promise rankings. Nobody honestly can, because rank also depends on price, ads, reviews and stock. What Helix does is measure how well your listing content answers what Amazon's AI looks for, and engineer copy that closes those gaps. When we show a gain, it's a typical result from past runs, not a guarantee.
Which marketplaces and categories does Helix support?
Helix supports Amazon US and UK today, with Canada and Australia planned next. It researches each category and its competitors on its own terms, so it works across a wide range of product types.
Getting started
Can I see a score before I pay?
Yes. The free Amazon AI Readiness Score runs on the same scoring engine as Helix, so the number carries over. When you engineer your first listing, the report shows your score before and after.
What do I need to get started?
Just an account. You can add your brand and products without a card or an Amazon connection. You'll add a card when you buy your first credit or choose a plan.
How do I know which listings to work on first?
Your catalog sorts by urgency first and revenue second. Listings with a problem stopping sales sit at the top. The "Start with these" cards suggest up to three listings where engineering is likely to make the biggest difference.
Scoring
How does scoring work?
Every score combines two measures. COSMO Semantic Mapping looks at how well your copy covers what shoppers mean. Alexa for Shopping Q&A Coverage looks at how well your listing answers the questions buyers ask. Scores measure the content of your listing. They are not a readout of Amazon's ranking system.
Which of my listings get scored?
When you connect Seller Central, Helix scores your highest-revenue listings first. Any listing you add to your managed set is always scored.
Why is my score lower than I expected?
Most listings land in the middle of the range, including many that sell well. The score measures how well your copy answers what Amazon's AI looks for. It isn't a verdict on your product. Scores below 50 are highlighted as the clearest places to start.
What does the "typical" gain on a listing mean?
It's the typical score improvement from past Helix runs on listings that started at a similar score. It's measured in score points, not sales or rank, and your result can be higher or lower.
Why doesn't one of my listings have a score?
The label on the row tells you why:
• In queue: it's waiting its turn and will fill in shortly.
• Above your scoring limit: Helix scores your highest-revenue listings first. To get one of these scored, manage it or move to a larger plan.
• Needs bullet points to score: there's no copy for us to score yet. Add bullet points in Seller Central, or engineer and publish new copy.

How often do scores update?
A managed listing is re-scored when its copy changes, and shortly after you publish with Helix. Managed scores are also refreshed weekly so they stay on our current scoring. Listings you don't manage keep the score from when they were first scored.
Why are scores still coming in after I connect?
Scoring starts within a couple of minutes of connecting, but Amazon takes a few hours to send your sales history. Helix uses that history to score your highest-revenue listings first, so a large catalog fills in over the first few hours.
Is there an average score for my whole catalog?
No. An average across unrelated products doesn't tell you what to do next. Each listing gets its own score and its own next step.
Monitoring and alerts
What is a managed listing?
A managed listing is one Helix watches for you. Each plan includes a set number. You pick which listings to manage and can swap them any time.
What does monitoring watch for?
For every managed listing, Helix watches for outside edits to your copy, score drops, suppression, another seller taking the Buy Box, and changes to what Amazon displays on your page. When something needs you, you get an alert with the fix that fits the problem.
How quickly will I hear about a problem?
Helix checks for suppression every four hours and checks the Buy Box twice a day. It compares copy changes nightly. The problems that cost you sales are caught the same day.
What counts as suppression?
Helix flags a listing when Amazon has actually stopped the sale, based on Amazon's own evidence. A listing that's simply out of stock isn't treated as suppressed.
Which alerts come by email?
Anything putting money at risk right now comes by email. That includes a suppression, a lost Buy Box, a broken Amazon connection, or a publish that needs your attention. Other changes, like an outside edit or a score drop, show in the app. You can turn off alert emails in settings.
Can Helix win back the Buy Box?
No. Buy Box ownership depends on offers, not copy. Helix tells you when another seller takes it and takes you straight to Seller Central.
Someone edited my listing. Can I put my copy back?
If Helix published the copy that was changed, "Restore last good" re-sends it in one click, and it's free. If the change was to something Helix doesn't publish, like the main image, Helix points you to Seller Central.
Can I quiet alerts on a listing for a while?
Yes. "Ignore" sets a listing aside for 30 days. The issue stays on the row, but it stops appearing in your alert list and won't notify you again. If a different problem appears, you'll hear about it.
Does Helix track my competitors?
Helix researches your competitors and category each time it engineers a listing. Ongoing tracking of competitor and category changes between runs is on the way.
What happens if my Amazon connection stops working?
Listings in that region show as "Paused", and if Amazon revoked access, Helix alerts you with a reconnect link. Paused listings still count toward your managed listings until you reconnect or turn them off.
Engineering and publishing
Will Helix change my listing without asking?
No. You review a before and after of every change and choose which variations to update. Nothing goes to Amazon until you publish. After you publish, Helix reads the listing back from Amazon to confirm the copy actually went live.
What does Helix write to my listing?
Title, bullet points, description, search terms and Item Highlights. Helix never changes your images, your variation setup or the parent listing.
How does Helix handle variations?
One run covers the whole product family. Each variation keeps its own size or colour in its title, and you choose which variations to update before you publish.
How do I know my publish actually worked?
After you publish, Helix reads each listing back from Amazon and matches it field by field. It then checks whether Amazon raised any issues. Your receipt shows the result for every variation, because Amazon can accept a submission and still keep its own content.
What if Amazon keeps its own content?
It happens, usually when another seller or Amazon controls the listing's content. Your receipt explains what happened, and you can download a CSV to upload in Seller Central.
Can I edit the copy before I publish?
Yes. Edit any field yourself, or use "Quick fix" to have Helix rewrite a single field. Quick fix is free and doesn't use a credit.
Can I publish without connecting?
Yes. Every run can be downloaded as a CSV for upload in Seller Central.
I pasted Helix copy into Seller Central myself. Will Helix know?
Yes, if the listing is managed. When monitoring finds your engineered copy live, the listing moves to "Published".
Can I set rules for how my listings are written?
Yes, at brand, product or single-run level. You can set length limits, words to avoid, how bullets open, phrases to include, and whether your brand leads the title. Rules are available on every plan, including single credits, and are set in the web app.
Can I engineer several listings at once?
Yes. Select listings in your catalog and engineer them together. You'll see the total cost before anything starts, and the batch only runs if you have enough credits for all of it.
Connecting to Amazon
Do I need to connect Seller Central?
Not to get started. You can add a brand and a product, and engineer a listing, without connecting. On a plan, connecting gives you your scored catalog and monitoring, and publishing in one click. Amazon requires a Professional selling plan to connect.
How does the Amazon connection work?
You authorize Helix through Amazon's official Seller Central process. You can disconnect any time from Settings.
I sell in the US and UK. How does that work?
Connect once for each region. Each marketplace counts as its own listing, because the copy, shoppers and competitors differ by market.
I'm on an Individual selling plan. Can I use Helix?
Yes. Amazon only allows Professional plan accounts to connect, but you can engineer listings and upload the CSV yourself.
Pricing, credits and billing
How does pricing work?
You can buy a 3-credit pack for $99 with no subscription. These credits never expire. Plans add monitoring, catalog scoring, direct publishing and MCP access for your AI tools:
• Starter: $149/month, 5 credits and 15 managed listings
• Growth: $299/month, 10 credits and 50 managed listings
• Pro: $699/month, 25 credits and 100 managed listings
• Enterprise and agencies: on inquiry
Annual plans include two months free. See the pricing page for current plans.

What does one credit cover?
One credit engineers one listing, which means a product and all its variations in one marketplace. Publishing is always free, and that includes restoring copy after an outside edit. If a run fails, the credit goes back automatically.
Do plan credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits reset each month and don't roll over. Purchased credits never expire, and your monthly credits are used first.
What if I run out of credits?
Buy extra credits at any time. They never expire, and your monthly credits are always used first.
What if I reach my managed listing limit?
You can still engineer and publish. The listing just won't be added to monitoring until you free a slot or move to a larger plan.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Upgrades apply as soon as payment clears, and the extra credits are added straight away. Downgrades take effect at your next billing date, so you keep what you've paid for until then.
What happens to my managed listings if I downgrade?
If you're over the new limit at your billing date, Helix keeps watching your highest-revenue listings and stops watching the rest. Nothing is deleted, and you can manage those listings again any time.
How does annual billing work?
You pay for the year upfront and get two months free. Credits still arrive monthly.
What if a payment fails?
You keep your access and your current credits while we retry the payment. New monthly credits arrive once it goes through.
What happens if I cancel?
Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Your reports and engineered copy stay with you, and so do any purchased credits. Monitoring stops, and your monitoring history is held for 60 days in case you come back.
AI assistants
Can I use Helix from my own AI tool?
Yes. Every plan includes MCP access, so you can run Helix from the AI tool you already use.
Does each account get its own connection?
Yes. Every account has its own connection address, which you'll find in Settings. If you rename it, reconnect your AI tool using the new address.
Can I set custom rules through my AI tool?
Not yet. Rules are set in the web app, but they apply to every run however it's started.
Agencies
Do you support agencies?
Yes. Create one account for each client, each with its own plan, its own Amazon connection and its own MCP address. Sign up on a standard plan and flag your account as an agency, and we'll follow up to set terms across the accounts you run. For larger portfolios, contact us about Enterprise.
